oh i have... my bf who i am pregnant by has a 2 year old boy who i adore like his my own. His mom was a slut and didn't want the baby since day one, when she gave labor she left the baby at the hospital and called my bf and his mom to pick him up. Then she later signed all her rights to my bf and his mom. She later went to jail and recently got out. She never claims her son or even has thought about visiting him. But it doesn't matter he doesn't need anything from her anyway. So yeah there are deat beat moms, just not as many as dads.

I have heard of a few. It is becoming more common as years pass. More and more dads are taking the role of sole provider and gaining custody. There are good fathers, deadbeat fathers, good mothers and deadbeat mothers. But gender plays a big part in how each are treated.
Because most legal regimes have the children stay with mothers more than fathers even if the mothers are deadbeat.
For some reason I do not understand, society does not see a mother who is taking care of children and who refuses to go to work as deadbeat, even if the children are going to school.
