Doesn't sound to me like you do- and for what that's worth, that is good! Some people want to "alter their perception of reality" because what they've been "perceiving" thus far does not make them feel happy or at peace with the condition of their life or maybe of the world we live in, or both.

Because altering reality might unlock new doors that were normally locked by closed minds and set perceptions that remain now. Before the 1400's, people thought the earth was flat, and sea monsters guarded the edges, or you just fell off. now, we are aware of a round world, a universe where we might not be alone, and no sea monster guardians. just because of the perceptions of a select few.

Maybe your perception of reality is that it is not a good place to be, or that you want to be happier. Perhaps you want to experience an altered state just as an escape from the sad world around us.

My concept of fact is comparable as any Atheist's, different than that I evaluate spirituality as some type of stepped forward, assumptuous, advantageous technology. yet i've got accomplished experiments esp. while i became 18-25 of age. the main unearthly became once I as quickly as perceived the completed international, existence, human beings each little thing as a figment of my Being's mind's eye! I stayed in that spirit for an afternoon or 2. regardless of the incontrovertible fact that i attempted, my time with drugs might desire to by no ability impact my experience of worldly fact and non secular sanity.

i journey vision quest in order to receive guidance unavailable to me in this reality. it's not a game it's my religion my way of life. if you mean chemically that should only be done as a ritual practice as a part of your sacred life. it's the abuse of it that causes problems tobacco is a prime example, traditionally native Americans smoked in ceremony, when we abuse that privilege cancer and death are the result. altering your reality is not something to be taken lightly or done on a whim, make sure you're aware of all the ramifications then make an informed decision.
