I'm changing from my iMac G5 to a new apple iMac that runs on an intel processor. I have taken ram out of my old iMac G5 and plan on using it in my intel iMac. I'm just wondering if this will work?

No, you can't. DDR and DDR2 memory are not compatible with each other. You have to use DDR2 memory in the new Intel Macs. DDR memory will not fit in the slots (so even if you did try to use it, it wouldn't fit).

I suggest asking this in the Apple Discussions Pages:

OK- My MacIntel has 2 GB DDR2 SDRAM
But my G5 (ALS) has 2 GB DDR SDRAM

However, I went to Crucial.com - recommended by many on the Apple pages - and they do list a G5 that has DDR2. So just check the "About This Mac" under the blue Apple menu, and it will tell you what your G5 has.

I believe so, I think they both use DDR2.
