People do not get equally upset when older men become fathers. Healthcare has outraced evolution; there is every reason to believe that a woman in her fifties or even sixties will live long enough to see her child into adulthood. Since these women are using donated ova, there is no increased risk to the baby for Down's syndrome or other maternal-age related disorder. A woman of any age accepts risks to herself when she goes through pregnancy and childbirth; with IVF she is altogether aware of these risks. Shouldn't we be celebrating because science finally allows women and men to have real equality in determining there family options? Is this just some kind of religious thing? I really don't understand it.

I suppose a good argument against it would be the fact that so many people in this world never see a real doctor in their whole lives, but a yet a few rich women can afford to use medical science in that way. However, I doubt many fertility specialists would go to Africa to open free clinics if their lucrative fertility practises were shut down.

No, easily not, the resent media tale of the British female pregnant at 60+ turned right into a shame, she's not questioning to a lot of her toddler: the position will that adverse baby be even as the mum is in her 70's and not in any respect in nice condition to safeguard him/her. in my opinion, i imagine the age reduce should be 50 or maybe 40 5 for IVF remedy interior the united kingdom.

most of these people that are getting upset, are just pissed because they wish that they looked that good at 40 or 50, instead of being way to over weight, wrinkled and wearing a robe all day. really, its just jealousy. if they want a kid at 40 great!!!! what these people really need to be worried about are the kids having babies at 13. matter of fact, i was too young to have mine at 23, imagine the kind of parents we would have been if we would have waited longer before we had our children, i can promise you, i would have been able to offer my children alot more than they had, if i would have had them later in life
