After I take intro biology II, which is best to take? I'm not going towards pre-med, if that helps to clarify. I figured I'll need at least one for a natural science major.
Also which would you say is the most difficult?

Hey, Matt G...maybe I'll choose the most difficult of the three, and still get an A. I will get an A in the name of every female out there, whether they are interested in science or not...just to prove that WOMEN HAVE BRAINS.
You are the ONLY one posting these sexually discriminating responses.
Why don't you respond the same way to other females, so they can report you, then you can lose your Yahoo! account.
We might have freedom of speech in the US, but we don't have anything called "freedom to discriminate."

Zoology is a bear...avoid it at all costs unless you have an excellent memory (photographic memory especially since I assume Zoology will come with a lab).
Botany I found to also be incredibly boring...but I'm not a big fan of plant biology, so it makes sense that I would have been bored out of my mind.
Microbiology was my favorite of the three classes you've mentioned, and I found it to have the best "real-world" application...I didn't think it was that hard, and I still use much of the information I learned in class on an every day basis...not to mention it was very very interesting...

I was a Biology major when I was in college. None of the above are necessarily easier than the other. They all have terminology in them that either way will be difficult unless you really enjoy learning about the stuff. Personally I found either zoology or botany easier than microbiology. It is all really a matter of what you are interested in and what you might pay better attention too. Also you may want to ask about the teachers that teach the classes as well. Some may be easier than others as well. Don't listen to anyone who hasn't taken all three of these classes. I have just in case you were wondering. I got an A in both botany and zoology and a B in microbiology. Your choice in the end. I hope this helps.

Hi Fritter, I don't remember talking to you, I'd like to learn more about you, please send me your page link. To answer your question. Most college coursework usually includes a prerequisite class unit before preceding to the next upper units. Start one step at a time and you'll get there, and in the most effective and in a way that solidifies your career choice. There is nothing worse career wise than having a career repertoire that is piecemeal. If you can test out of a class unit, then that is cool, but don't try and skip if you're not ready, and from my experience with college; and I still go, is that you usually learn more than you thought you would than if you skip or test out of a class. Most classes start with introductory classes, hence ...History 101.

Zoology!!! But then, that's my concentration so I'm biased:). Microbiology is probably the most difficult, and would be most beneficial if you WERE to go pre-med... are you still a bio major? I'd choose which ever one would contribute most to achieving your goals, what concentration are you?

I think you would not do well in any of them. Unless, of course, there are other women in the class. The with the professor grading on the curve, you might get a C. By the way, you're letter to me was of the "hit and run" type giving me no chance to reply back. It seems you do not allow email replys!

Since micro is the hardest. Pick the one you like best. Plants or Animals. I'd pick Botany but I'm a gardener.

microbiology is generally the most difficult out of those 3, no matter what college you're at.
Perhaps molecular genetics would be a good option. I've taken that before.
