If alcohol is part of your relationship you may want to consider why you are with this person. Do you have fun together when not drinking? If not that is a problem. I used to date this guy and all we did was drink, then I would go to work while he slept off his hangover just to get ready for that nights party. Then it was just a cycle. we really had nothing in common besides drinking. I left him and now my life is great. I only drink once or maybe twice a month if that. I enjoy my life without the drunken fights and nasty hangovers every morning.

But alcohol is a depressant and a relaxer as well .It's the amount and the mood , the person(s), and a disease that many can't over come .I personally don't allow it in the house ,nor is it at family (Holiday) dinners because some people just get mean . I seen this guy and he said his wife was a drunk , I remember when they use to visit and he more less poured it into her , she became very relaxed ans funny .Now he said she fights , calls in work and mistreats many people .She was a great person without it but he felt she was a little boring and sex was not exactly what he would have when she drank .

Alcohol creates a different person when you drink so much.

It makes you not care.

And when your lover doesn't care, it's the worst feeling in the world.

My bf is an alcoholic who is struggling with quitting.

He cheated on me, head-butted me, spent all my money on alcohol.

The only reason why I'm sticking it out is because I know being an alcoholic is a sickness.

Alcohol turns you into someone else who doesn't give a damn about anything or anybody.
