I say Brasil how about you ?

2006-07-09 10:45:58 · 43 answers · asked by . 4 in Sports Football FIFA World Cup (TM)

Good answers I am also going for Poland Leo Beenhakker possibly new coach of Polish team and two others candidates from Italy but I think is not possible to win for them but I hope they at least qualifyanther new coach and do well there. I think Brasil statistically won past World Cups in other continents and never European teams won. I do not think Europeans can win outside the European Zone only team capable is France you all know why.
Maybe Holland too they colonize South Africa so they would fill like at home a bit.
Possible it's that one of African teams do very well in the World Cup at least go to semis.
There is a lot of time before next World Cup maybe new talents will born for great teams, like in Argentinian team if they keep up it's possible that they will do great
job in South Africa. That is what was on my mind so I said it.

Thanks for all of your answers/opinions.

Will there be one?
I love football, but what an awful World Cup - The cheats prosper, the referees are given ridiculous guidelines, the best player on show butts an opponent in the final, the ball flies all over the place, honest teams go out - easily the worst World Cup finals I've seen over the last 45 years. An Italian took an obvious dive against Australia in the last minute to get through - then Italy, the most corrupt nation in World Football with FOUR teams threatened with relegation because of bribing officials, wins in the Final.

They will kill the game off.

Not Brasil this is the time of break as was the 74 to 94 for Brasil. Look at African teams. Italy is a very old team.

If Parreira leaves the Brazilian team then Brazil might have a chance but I think the Germany, Brazil, France, and Argentina will come far.
I didn't even know it was in South Africa.

Germany and Holland had 2 young talented teams this time and they'll be 4 yrs wiser by then so I'd have to consider them or an african nation to be real challengers. Will you wait till then to award ten pts????

Germany, because they have so many young players this WC, that mainly all of them can play again. And that is 4 YEARS of extra practise. They are a really good TEAM, not just PLAYERS. I think Klinsi shud deinatly stay coz we need him in 2010 (and 2008, when we win the EC)

GO GERMANY!

I would like to see an African or any underdog teams advance to the quarterfinals.

But it'd be nice to see Germany wins. :-)

It's too early to tell. We still got four years. Some teams may have injuries or retirements that bring them down.
