I have this stingy feeling in my upper right eye lid and it is almost to the point of unbearable. Is this what a sty feels like?

I've heard that you're supposed to put a warm washcloth on them to get rid of them.

Warm moist washcloth on your eye. Get rid of any contacts and eye makeup and replace with new ones when you are healed. They have to run their course unfortunately. you can buy some over the counter medication for them, it work OK. Don't rub your eyes.

My 85 year old mother-in-law told me this once and i just cracked up. She said you say this little riddle and it will go away..........

Hot, wet compresses is what is usually prescribed by a doctor.
