I've been under the impression that the cars get extremely hot inside on race day, and that the drivers have hydration systems setup for themselves, so what gives?

They really, really do just have to answer nature's call.During a race a couple of years ago Tony Stewart had to do more than just take a whiz and had to answer that call, and after the race (which I think he won or at least placed top 5 or so) he went straight from the car wouldn't stop or answer any questions, several minutes later he came out showered and in fresh clothes. The public story was that he was sick, but now you know "the rest of the story"

The heat inside a stock car is so intense that ones sweat glands dehydrate faster than any attempt to hydrate. Concentration along with door handle to door handle racing at speeds upward to180+mph in140 to 160 degree heat can cause total dehydration . Hydration is virtually impossible and totally brutal on nextel cup drivers.

The races aren't that long. Haven't you ever gone for three hours without going to the bathroom ?

In all honesty, they pee themselves. It's so hot in those cars it evaporates so fast, it doesnt matter. Usually they lose so much fluid through sweating that the need doesnt arise but if it does, and it does, they pee themselves.

I actually just asked my husband this today, and he told me that Darryl waltrip was the first to admit it, but when you got to go, well you got to go... And he also says that Carl Edwards admits to it to, and if you don't get what I mean, well I don't know what to tell ya.
