I'm 24 years old. A month ago, my breasts were 34FF. Today, they are 34C. I have never been so happy!
If you are having pain, I would suggest the reduction. My back pain was gone pretty much instantly after the surgery.
If you decide to do it, don't be scared! I had absolutey NO pain during recovery, and I am very sensitive to pain. The results are breathtaking and my scars are virtually unnoticeable, even after only a month.
In order to make sure that you get a good surgeon, ask for his references and to see his portfolio. Then you'll know more of what to expect.
There is a little bit of an adjustment! I used to be the busty girl, and now I'm just average. It feels weird at first, emotionally, but then you realize that your back pain is gone and you can wear whatever you want and men stop galking at you. It's really wonderful and I hope you'll be able to have the surgery.

I think it's really your choice. I would go see your doctor and talk with him/her about the back problems. Maybe go see a chiropractor and talk with them also. I really don't think working out will help because I am considering getting a breast reduction. I am a 34DD and it makes me very uncomfortable. I don't have back pain or anything, but I don't like all the attention that gets focused on my chest. Losing 40 lbs as a teenager did no good either. My cup size was not reduced. I have a terrible time buying clothes and I cannot imagine how hard it must be for you. If it makes you uncomfortable I would definitely talk to your doctor. There may even be funding or something you could get if your doctor did claim your chest was creating health problems. This could maybe pay for the surgery.

If you're having problems with your back then it might be a good idea. You should really talk to your doctor about this. As far as not liking the results I wouldn't worry about being dissatisfied with them being 'too small', but rather can your plastic surgeon keep them a pleasing shape. That would require a good surgeon, and one that your doctor could recommend. Don't be afraid to see pictures of the surgeon's work. Shop around!
But don't you dare worry about getting the surgery because you think smaller breasts would look bad or that men (or women) would find you less attractive. Any that do are probably jerks anyway whose knee jerk response is always 'bigger is better'.
Surgery is always risky, and it is normal to be scared of it. Discussion with your doctor would help, and I'm sure that there are some people who will answer this question of yours who have had reduction procedures done who can allay some of your fears.

Hi! I did. I was size 36dd and I decided it was time to let go. The operation took about 2 hours. I had breasts reduction, and lift. I am 47 y.o and now my breast look like a 25 y.o. I'm glad I did. Hardy any pain, but some discomfort from the special bra they put on you. I removed it 3 days after the operation, and I did much better. It will take about 3 month to see real results, but you will see the difference right away!

If you can get your insurance or someone to pay for it - then absolutly. I hear they are incredibly expensive. But I do think you will be pleased with the outcome. At the very least you won't be in so much pain. I''ve heard and can imagine too, how heavy breasts can casue pain. Just like carring any other type of weight such as in pregnancy. It makes your back hurt.

As a post-op nurse...I have taken care of many young women who have had the procedure done. At first they are shocked and think they are too small...but when they realize they can see their feet for the first time in many years and realize that they are not as big overall as they thought they were...they are very happy. Just remember...it can take up to a year for the breasts to take on the new shape etc. you will require much patience during the healing period but your back and shoulders will love your for it.

Yes if it is causing back and posture issues. See link below. in the FAQ section. It is about as painful as augmentation. Down time at your age 4-7 days home. One day hospital, assuming no complications. Loss of nipple sensitivity is a possibility, assuming significant relocation. See your local doctor. On a social aspect you probably are self conscious because of your bigger than everyone else in the chest. It is going to be something you enjoy and turn to your advantage psychologically speaking or have the surgery.

For heaven's sake, if you're having back problems, do it! You'll like your breast a lot better when they don't cause you pain. Don't get caught up in identifying yourself with your breasts. YOU will be the same person, only without the pain.

i have 36 DD's and know what you mean...i would get mine reduced if i had money enough to find a good doctor to do it...
my sister had some that were larger than mine and had severe back problems, i talked her into getting hers reduced...she did and they were sore initially, but look and feel great now...she no longer has back pain and looks so much better...
i would say...go for it...38 H at your age can only get really bad later in life...gravity will pull them clear down and they will look horrible...also the back pain won't get any better...

I think so. My mom's are even larger and cause her shoulder problems and rubs her skin raw when she wears the wrong bras, but insurance won't pay for a reduction because they say that its not necessary and she can't afford it herself. I would, definately, if its causing you back problems.
