Husband: Simpsons, Homer's hard to beat
Wife: Family Guy; Lois is more of a dynamic character
Boy Child: Simpsons
Girl Child: Family Guy
Baby: Family Guy
Pet: Simpsons; Santa's Little Helper is just interesting in his own way, and I don't really like Brian all that much (unless he's drunk)
Neighbors: Draw; Flanders vs. Quagmire basically, the do-gooder vs the do-badder.
It's too close to call when braking it down.

Family Guy has more crude humor but Simpsons make more jokes about society. I have to go Simpsons. I love Treehouse of Horror!
