I don't think they "intentionally" lie to the American public, at least in MOST cases. I believe both sides really do believe what they are telling us, and they rely on people around them feeding them accurate information. These people give the information back as they see the issue. It works both ways. Some would say the glass is half full...others half empty. Who is right, who is lying? I'm not saying they never lie, but if you really believe you are correct...is that a lie? Hmmm!!

And why is it that society stands back an lets this lying go on without question. We are the people, we need to stand up and demand more out of those we elect into office. We need to make better decision when its time to vote. Our president is a reflection of what society wanted.

Because we as a society don't pay enough attention to the truths about our government, the realities of our society and we let them get away with it. Plus there are too many idiots that believe "their" politician wouldn't lie to them.
Read for yourself every day then you will be able to decide what is true for yourself.

It is sad, but our democrat leaders do lie to us. Let me put it another way: People who call themselves liberals, or intellectuals interpret the truth differently than most of us, and that interpretation is passed along to you by your teachers, professors, some preachers, and radio, TV, and other media. What they tell you is known as propaganda.

Do you remember the movie "A Few Good Men"?
The answer to your question is "you want the truth? You cannot handle the truth" well that is what most of the people in D.C. think

I do not follow your question..
But,
WHO IS LYING ??? Is the President lying ??
If you were going to die in 2 months, would you really want to know ??
Sometimes we are kept in the dark so that the bad people can not find out how bad we are hurt..
It is called MIS-INFORMATION, not a lie.
You have a good day.

Because politicians are more interested in keeping their jobs than doing their jobs, they say what they think the voters want to hear.
How do you know a politician is lying? His lips are moving.
