I found a lump about an inch in diameter in my left breast last night. I am freaking out a little bit. I'm only 32, w/ 3 children. My mom had breast cancer.

I can't wait until tomorrow *monday* to contact the doctor...

Any suggestions on how to get my mind on other things? I've been trying to keep busy... I'm just scared, as I know what breast cancer can do.

For one thing - get fear out of your heart and mind. That's the first thing that will grab hold and attack your body. You must speak to that lump and command that it go away. You have that power and authority to call those things that be not - as though they were. Our bodies are healing elements and many times we unfortunately, drift away from our own ability to call healing to our bodies when we express fear. Fear will torment you and stress you out and increase your chances for anything else negative. Pray. GIve thanks unto God right now for your healing. Your healing has already been taken care of, however, you must turn your fear into faith and speak only POSITIVE things from your mouth. We are what we say. The doctor's reports are just man's reports - whose report will you believe? Remember when the spies went into Canaan to see what was there? God had already promised them the land - so why should they have feared - but 10 came back speaking negative...giants in the land, we can't take them, we are like grasshoppers compared to them..yada.yada.yada. But there were two who came back IN FAITH - saying - yes there are giants in the land, but Lord you promised us and we believe you - so we can take them! Faith carried these two into the land - while the others died in the wilderness. Talk faith, read encouraging testimonies and speak HEALTH AND HEALING TO YOUR BODY. Lay hands on your breasts and command that the lump be gone! I will pray with you and in faith believe that this will be done.

Well you know abiout breat cancer so you are being smart in going to the doc.right aay.Hopefully it won`t be anything.I wish you luck.I`ve had breast cancer 17 years ago and then again 2 years ago on the same side.I had a masdectmy but they didn`t get everything and left a small part of breast under my arm.I developed a cyst that was cancer. The cancer was in the tupe that they cut limp notes off of .I only had one positive out of 22.But the tube still had that cell and after 17 years it developed again.I had the remaining breast area removed and they got all the cancer.I thank God and feel really blessed that I`m still here and cancer free.

That fear is your worse enemy. Until you have all the facts, which you will begin to get tomorrow, you will automatically fear the worse. We all have this fear that something really bad will happen to us. And that first appearance of something wrong confirms what we feared.

Your history does give you concern. But it is not automatic that you will follow in your mothers footsteps.

Try to relax. If you have a husband, I assume your do, sit with him and talk this through. Talking of your fears will help allot and get you through till tomorrow.

Try your best to be optimistic. Treatment for lumps in your breast are always improving and you may find you have little to worry about.

Just pray and believe that if the lump is as big as you say it is benign and be thankful that you do a self check every month for it and found it before it got any bigger.

my stepmother had breast cancer. just try to follow your everyday routine, play with your kids, clean, whatever you have to do. it might be nothing but it is hereditary. Try not to flip out. I hope everything turns out alright.
