Also, I was wondering if gerbils could vomit?

I've never seen one vomit, but I'm sure they probably can. What exactly do you mean by vibrating? When they get uber freaked out, they can start thumping their feet as an instinctive warning. They look like they're in a trance or having a seizure. If that's what it's doing, best to leave it alone and let it calm down. If it keeps doing it for quite a while, try covering the cage to give it some privacy, they can be paranoid little buggers. If it's something other than thumping might be best to take it to the vet.

This happened to my gerbil after it got out of its cage and chewed threw an electrical wire. I'm preety sure they can but its never happened to any of my gerbils and I've had 4. Oh here is a little gerbile tip. I got 2 gerbils that were twin sisters and kept them in the same cage and they were fine. But after I forget how many years the bigger one killed the smaller one. So I woudn't recamend putting two together.
