One creature you could add to your aquarium would be a simple fire bellied newt. I believe it's actually a salamander, it stays pretty small, and adds color and activity to your tank. They are black with a marbled orange belly. Watch out though, they are good escape artists! "Water dogs " are another specimen, but are less colorful and will eat anything they can (even eachother). They are the aquatic form of the tiger salamander and may eventually morph into a partial land animal. A large tank and tankmates would be necessary to keep these guys with.

First off...its a fire bellied toad...and no it can't go with fish!

Second...Newts and Salamanders can go with fish, but you have to know what you're doing, you need to have a way for them to get out of the water if they want to, and you have to pay attention to what fish you're putting them with.

I'm going by the assumption that you're more towards the amateur to intermediate side of things, so I would recommend if anything, get yourself an african dwarf frog first. It lives underwater, and won't kill your fish

Yeah. You could go to the pet store and buy salamanders that can live under water.

most aquatic lizards may eat smaller fish, try newts or small frogs.
