i like the internet because if a certain artical interests me i can find other sources immediately on the same subject and also if there is a reference to somthing i know little or nothing about i can research that to...sometimes from one artical i might bounce up to 10 webpages/sites or more. buttttt, i will read the paper in a pinch if im at work on break or traveling somewhere i cant get online but its generally less fullfilling now than several years ago and if i see an interesting artical in the paper i cant wait to get home online to follow up on it. PLUS online news can be up to the minuet.

I get The Economist and Time Magazine every week. I also read the headlines on the internet from cnn.com and google news, etc. If there's a particular news subject I want to know more about, I generally read a book about it, as I find that to be a good way to learn about a subject. I find most news (particularly network news) to be pretty irrelevant to my own life (i don't need to know anything about celebrity's lives, the latest sexual predator alerts, or avien flu. I need to know little about the day to day happenings of the war in iraq or the war on terror). I am mostly concerned with historical phenomena as a whole, and while I am generally not "in the know" about the latest media subjects, I tend to have a lot of knowledge about a variety of subjects applicable to my every day life.

I tend to read the newspaper and watch the 5:00pm news. But my boyfriend likes to log on to CNN some times so I am going to that site more and more. I read the papers because its free at my job and I watch the news for a recap of stuff that happened around town.

I would rather use the internet, yet, I still wouldn't even use cnn.com because all news is censored. If you want the truth I would do a little more digging!

Through the internet I have a connection to my town's local daily paper and the nearby city's major paper because I'm allergic to the ink in newspapers.
