lol i have no clue i wake up and it just sticks out.....maybe its our dreams? maybe IT dreams lol i guess its just something we have to live with.

The morning erection is a result of having a full bladder. To understand how a man gets an erection you need to understand the blood flow of the male reproductive system. The penis has three muscle tissue cylinders that can hold a lot of blood. When full of blood they are hard. Thus the penis can be inserted into the vagina. There are arteries that carry blood into the penis and veins that carry blood out of the penis. During sexual arousal the arteries dilate or open wide and more blood goes into the penis than can be carried out by the veins. With more going in than can get out the penis gets erect. Now the morning erection. During the night your kidneys keep working and your bladder fills up with urine really full to the point of over extending. The full bladder presses on the veins that carry blood away from the penis making them partially closed. The result is the same as during arousal more blood goes into the penis than can get out and the penis becomes erect. Sometimes this has been happening for several minutes in the morning and the erection is a very very hard one. The way to relieve this is to urinate which is not always easy since the erect penis points up. Also, in the morning the erect penis is sensitive and the man may be more interested in sex. Women need to try to understand male sexuality and that just because a boy or man has an erection does not mean he thinking about sex. Erections happen for all kinds of reasons and we ignore them unless the opportunity is there for us to take advantage of having one. Male sexuality is the most complex and has more places where it can fail or go wrong.

Because they are laying down and all the pressure is off their spine creating better blood flow. You are also a little taller in the mornings from having the weight off your spine.
