Zidane getting kicked out making a stupid mistake, penalty kicks to decide the final, referees getting medals, Italian players running around the field in their underwear to celebrate, pretty anti climatic if you ask me!

The announcers about midway through the second half said this was the most exciting final since 86.
I kinda agree with them.
It could have went either way and for two teams who usually play a defensive shell they both went up and down (Italy in the first half France in the second)

I actually think it was an incredible moment how Zidane went from hero to zero in an instant. Even though France lost he stole the show and that's all everyone's going to remember years from now. No one could have scripted this - real life beats fiction every time!

well italy should not have gotten out of the first round so that was even stranger.
