you can usually narrow it down to an age bracket based on spelling and grammar alone....take into account the actual answer and you might just hit the correct age every time.....

In the absence of a conscious attempt to deceive, not very hard. The majority of people select an avatar which reveals their gender, and age can normally be discerned by the questions and answers they submit, and the style of writing to some extent. True, there are very articulate young people, but not many. And there are quite inarticulate older people, but they would mostly not be interested in a site like this, and are largely self-selected out.
But if someone wants to pretend to be other than he or she really is, that seems like it would be pretty easy, too. Just like someone who wants a career in acting might try to fool a grocery clerk or a bank teller, not for personal gain, but to see if he or she could get away with it. And of course, there are many people who want to be perceived as the opposite gender to that which Mother Nature assigned them.
Further, there are those who might have ulterior motives for either deception. Do I need to spell those out?

As far as gender is concerned. I'm sure that there are some people who have created false identities for on line use, but I think that in most cases it's as easy as looking at their name and avatar. Age is a little trickier, but most people will drop little hints regarding children, marital status, military service, personal tastes, etc that can let you make a pretty good guess.

I think most of the participants in this are younger than 25. I read the question and pay attention to the wording, spelling and typing skills. I might also click on their site to read about them and also their address might give some clues to their age. Some are probably real young and answers might be too raw so be cautious about how you answer, be proper and not too quick to send out a nasty response.

It is not by age nor gender, I guess it is more on the way one puts an answer or a question based on their intellect, maturity, experience , interest and as to what their purpose is in asking a question or answering one.

The situation of a problem or the sense behind it makes it easy.

With most it would be pretty easy but there are that select few that are ahead of their time.

Well, because of the lack of maturity and grammar and spelling you can tell most of this forum seem to be teens.
