That is not a Sylvia Browne belief, per se. Rather, ancient wisdom (such as Hinduism and even Vedic Astrology) teaches that humanity is a cycle, and that to a great extent our path is determined by the choices we have made in past incarnations. On that account, I think she's fairly spot on.
As far as her psychism is concerned, she and John Edwards both use a lot of what is known as 'Cold Reading'. Cynics will argue it's a trick of hucksterism where the client actually provides most of the information themselves unaware. This never means that she is not naturally intuitive, only that her particular methodology has been called to the carpet as a form of psychological trickery.
Personally, I believe that mankind is a tripartite being with a need for spiritual workers. And knowing the dynamism of belief - I further will add that whatever works for any one individual - in other words, can manifest their belief towards a positive end- whether that is religion, medicine or a placebo - is not a thing to be easily discounted.
Whether the cynics like that or not.
Quantumly,

I have read a book of hers and liked her theories, but sometimes I am confused. Some of the things she says do not go together that well. In her books all she talks about is God. Sylvia seems to be so religious but think about this: why does she use a gift God has given her (prophecy, etc) to make MONEY! Have you seen how much she charges for readings? See how many books she has out? Is she giving any of this money to charities or churches? If she was so Godly then she wouldn't be talking about all these things that aren't in the bible such as "charts". God PLANNED us all, lol--we couldn't have planned ourselves. I think that SB can speak with ghosts or whatever, but I don't believe IN her. I only believe in God. She does seem to be a little "dazed" time to time, lol. I think she is partly psychic and partly a fruitcake, haha.

I think she knows what she's doing..and does what she is doing very well. I think that like all celebrities some of this has gone to her head though. Sorry to say that, but that's what I see when I catch a glimpse of her on different shows. Oh, the question, yes, I am a believer that we came here for a purpose that we agreed upon before we were born. I also believe that although we have a purpose and a direction that there are areas of gray where we get to choose different courses of action.

I prefer Johnathon Edwards. Her theory is fragmented and disorganized. I think we are interwoven as spirits and have contracted with one another by passivity or assertively. I don't believe in predestination and Sylvia Brown has built her own church on it. I think there's cause and effect operating within the universe. When we align ourselves with that positively or negatively we reap those rewards. I don't agree with Sylvia's premise that we chart it in advance there's little evidence throughout nature to support that. It's a theory she pulled out of hat while in a Valium daze.

I am having a tough time deciding but I'm leaning towards no. I used to watch her on talk shows and believe that she is spiritual enough to have the given talent that is obvious, but just because she really as a sense that most of us do not have doesn't make everything she says true either.

I've not heard of her saying this. I do believe what she says though for the most part. Several years ago, my now deceased uncle got to meet her. He asked several questions that have all come true now. The most important being that his sons were located & they had the beginnings of a relationship before he died unexpectedly.

I respect Sylvia because she stands up for what she believes in in spite of all the criticisms...but she's definitely a quack.
