Let's face it, who likes standing in line for an hour or more for a couple of minutes of fun? Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio used to have the "freeway" pass system for up to 2 popular rides that would bypass most of the lines. I have heard Disney has a system for showing up to a ride at an assigned time to bypass the line.

I think it would be cool if a park developed a "waiting area" with concessions, video games, etc. and benches. You enter the area, take a ticket, wait for your number range to come up and then go to much shorter boarding line. Heck, make the whole park a "waiting area" and have little "departure times" posted on monitors all over the park for various ticket number ranges?

I'd be willing to pay alot more to get into a park that has developed intelligent methods of keeping their patrons out of those awful hour long or longer holding mazes.

So anyone seen anything like this?

Well, most amusement parks have those fast pass things now where you pay extra and it will reserve a time for you to get on the ride so you don't have to wait in line. I know for a fact they have them at Universal Studios in Orlando, Flordia, and Six Flags St. Louis. They probably have them at all Six Flags. Some parks will have concession stands in line. I agree that the lines are a waste of time. Instead of it taking five minutes to go on a ride, it takes an hour! The lines are longer than the rides themself.

Fastpass at disney world works great. You get a ticket that tells you when to come back between like 2 and 3. When you get there, you go into a different line and move to the front of the line. The system also konws when you have a ticket so you can't go and grab another fastpass ticket from another line until your first ticket expires or you use it. It's a great system

The honest truth.... take a handicapped person to a Disney park. I personally don't like doing that but when I take my grandparents they can't wait in the lines. I feel bad about skipping lines like that, but if you don't care you usually wait about 15 minutes at the most for any ride you want. I don't recommend it though. You have to get a special handicapped permit from town hall at Main Street though.

Fast Pass at Disney is the best and it is included with your ticket price if you buy the Park Hopper. You can't get the One Day Ticket and use the FP System.

I'm a frequent (sometimes too frequent) Disneyland visitor.

They have FastPast on several rides, and it works well.
