How did italy cheat against the aussies?

I'm not a soccer fan, but I'm curious....what is this "cheating" against the aussies people are talking about?

they didn't cheat,it was a bad call when the ref said the guy was tripped by the Aussie player who was on the ground & the italian "tripped" over him but i think he took a dive cuz the guy barely touched him and it was NOT on purpose.. just incidental contact.

Neill slide tackled Grosso in the penalty box, and Grosso dove over Neill. It was obviously a dive because Neill didn't touch Grosso, and the ref gave the Italians a penalty kick, basically gave the game to the italians (it was in the last 3 seconds of the game and there wasn't enough time to start the game after the Italians "scored.") The Italians usually dive and foul and they pretend to be injured just to stop the opposing team from attacking or to waste time.

What really makes me mad is that, even though the whole world knows that it was a dive, Grosso is still claiming that he couldn't avoid Neill.

Many people would argue that it was not "cheating" but in fact the match was decided by a free kick by Fabio Grosso.

Italian player Fabio Grosso faked being tripped by Australian Lucas Neill and was awarded a penalty kick. Grosso scored the penalty kick winning the match moving the Italians past Australia.

there was a poorly called foul...but..it ended up deciding the game so australia is bent over it..problem is..the slide was due to inexperience..and in the goalbox against a team like Italy...the lesser experienced team will never get that call...

they got an unfair penalty (diver) wen the game was over!!!

i think it on one of the goals.... he was clearly offsides and they coutned the goal or it might have been the dive.. i can't remember.
