Braveheart, hands down!

Gosh this is a hard one. They are both tragic heros. Cried at the end for both of them.
I would have to go with Braveheart. He was a real historic individual. Gladiator was a fictional character based on what we knew of Roman traditions.
Braveheart had a really good twist (of the sword ?) at the end. It lead the viewer to believe Braveheart was the father of the Kings daughter-in-laws unborn child which in the end helped finish off the king and there was no hope for his lineage.
Don't get me wrong its neck and neck here, both movies were fantastic but Braveheart the man was real in history. Gladiators were real, too, but not this particular one. (Even though, I like the idea Maxiumus joined his wife and child in the 'underwold' that the Romans believed in)

Dang, that's a difficult question to answer. I think I liked Gladiator better, but Braveheart was excellent also.

Both are excellent. I have both and watch them over and over. If it came down to it I would have to go with Gladiator because Russell Crowe gets so into character that you believe he really is Maximus. Such feeling and emotion. Close though.

Very good question. I would have to say sadly it would be a draw both have a reason, both experienced fighters they only way i can see a true winner if someone got in the way distracting the other

Both fantastic breath taking films but like some one before me said 'Brave heart' hands down, without a doubt. x
