Are you serious?

Maybe you should start applying to Med schools first? Then they should guide you.....

Read up on your organic chemistry. From the pre-meds I knew at college, this was the hardest class. Some of them even took it twice, the first time at a local college and not for credit so they could take it the second time with credit on their transcript.

If the university you are interested in has any health and human development courses, you could look into those as electives. One of my friends is a human development doctorate and she's taught undergrad courses on prenatal human development...so I know they are out there.

You will specialize more when you get into med school and there will be opportunities to do OB/GYN electives. If you have time to volunteer, you could consider working at a hospital and trying to get time on the maternity unit. This will give you at least a glimpse at what goes on in the hospital side of the profession. If it's a teaching hospital, you also might be able to talk to some new doctors (interns and residents) who just finished med school. They can give you tips on what you should do as an undergrad to be more attractive to and prepared for medical school.

You need to talk to an adviser at your university.

I attend Indiana University Bloomington and I am an Anthropology/Pre-Med major, and here you pick a major (biology, chemistry, history, anthropology, underwater basket weaving) and then your major is supplemented with your pre-med courses (chem, organic chem, biology, physics) So, if you are just starting college, you need to find a major that you can enjoy for 4 years and take the classes you need for Pre-Med. You need to work REALLY Hard, because Med School isn't easy to get into. But, once you're there you can start concentrating on what kind of doctor you want to be.

well, if you find out anything let me know, cause that is what I want to be. , But, God told me I was supposed to be a missionary in Africa or some place like that. I may consider medical missionary. You need to get all the math and science you can. That will help , no matter what kind of doctor you become. Good luck and take care. follow your dreams.
