I don't get what you're asking... just drag and drop after you install iTunes, more info on: http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/

I had a major problem with my iPod as a result of my iBook crashing. Sorry I don't know all the jargon here...
Anyway, I wound up with my music on the iPod but not on the iBook. I could NOT download the iPod to the iBook. I called Apple and they said that at that time, about 6 months ago, iTunes did not support transferring music FROM the iPod. A friend recommended a program called Liberator or something. I downloaded this software and went to use it. My biggest issue was that I had rated my songs and set up playlists that I didn't want to re-do. Anyway, the Liberator software asked me an ambiguous question about something I don't remember and my answer caused my iPod to be erased! That's my story and I'm sticking to it! Call Apple!

I have seen some devices that allow you to connect two ipods together, but I don't know how well they work.

this is the only one I could actually find online:

it's called "hitch" and allows transfers between any USB devices without needing a PC in the middle.

yes. all you have to do is put the songs from one ipod onto a computer, then transfer them to the other ipod.
