Since the Republicans have all the power in Washington has your life gotten better?

No.Republicans in power = Higher gas prices, long unpopular wars, tax breaks for the rich, the poor get poorer and the rich get richer, a huge catering to the religious right which means minorities get shafted, many needed public programs get cut to increase military spending, and I can go on and on.

This hurts the little guy (or gal) and I am the little gal.

Well, I look at it this way - I am better off everyday because there are new mercies extended to me daily,. Daily, I have met someone new and extended love toward them I have a new opportunity every day to be a blessing to someone else's life and in that alone, my life is better. However, the betterment and enrichment of my life has not ever, and will not ever be dependant upon which political power is in office - but what power is in Heaven and the authority to which I have been given to call those things that be not - as though they were. I am what I say I am and I declare myself blessed and highly favored, prosperous, loving, kind and open to the plight and cause of others.

My life has not gotten better, but it has nothing to do with Republicans or Democrats. I pay for college myself, working full time while I'm trying to become a biochemist. A career that in itself tries to keep my kind (the lower middle class type) out. It requires hours of unpaid research that you do not get credit for just to obtain the degree. That leaves zero time for studying when you have to work. Do I get any aid? Inadequate government loans that cover not even all my tuition let alone completely ignore any cost of living. I blame fat, lazy Americans. What happened to our will to fight? The problem is we aren't starving yet. We will be soon, but we're not yet. Instead of protest gas prices that make no sense. (Has no one considered the scam of ethanol and diesel being currently priced higher than gasoline?) we just complain and whine about them and tell ourselves there's nothing we can do. Really? Refuse to pay the prices. I bike. Not everyone can do this, but enough of us live in areas where we could if we weren't too lazy to do it. Surprisingly if I drove to work or class it takes me 10 minutes. If I bike it only takes me 15. Not really that much of my precious time that I'm wasting now is there. Become active. Utilize your rights before we let them all be taken away from us. If you feel biking is unsafe, go to city council meetings and push for changes in laws and bike paths.

There are so many issues and almost all them lead to one conclusion. We are overfed, lazy Americans. We will give up all our rights because we aren't living in much discomfort yet. We will continue to breed and hand our children a life of war, hunger, and no opportunity. Then we will die and leave them to deal with it.

Absolutely! Democrats just want to take everything away. Bill Clinton didn't pay down the deficit, I DID! Talking about tax and spend, thank God the Republicans gave me some of my money and my life back. The Democrats can keep their restrictions and their hands out of my pockets!

I am, but 6 years ago I was a loser... I'm still not much better off, I think back then people that were doing what I'm doing now were so much better off than where I am... Jobs paid more and there were more of them. I should have taken advantage of the good times..

Well, considering that almost everything that has happened in my life is courtesy of my local or state government and my own work to better myself, I have no idea.

However, my life is much better. I have more money and I am more educated in my third year of college.

But to answer your question with a yes or no, since I am a conservative, then I guess I would say yes, I am better off thanks to the Republicans. My taxes are lower and I feel much safer. We were attacked off the coast of Yemen (USS Cole) in 2000 and in New York in 2001 thanks to Clinton abandoning the mission in Somalia, but since Bush has used force against the Islamofascists, we are much safer at home.

So thanks to the Republicans, my life is much better.

My life is better, way better. I've gotten a great job, I've bought a house, my savings is now earning a high interest rate.

I don't know if you can attribute all that to the Republicans, but that was your question.

Actually, it's despite what the current government has done, rather than because of it.

In other words, every area of my life that's been touched by the federal government is worse off, as are many of my friends' lives. The fact that my life is better if is in spite of government efforts to the contrary.

Yes, my life is much better, thank you.

I've made many improvements to my home, and my finances are up.
My son bought a new home, has since added a swimming pool, has a nice savings and is attending college to become a school teacher..
Another one of my sons has a great paying job that is training him to be a broker.....

and because of President Bush we feel much safer than in the past....

My life is better but it has nothing to do with the Republicans or the Democrats. It has to do with the 220 pounds(ex husband) that I lost.
