The shirt isnt a standard dress shirt, it looks better lol. Its by hurley, its not solid white, it has texture to it (i wanna say stripes, that kinda look like the borders where fabric comes together ???). Im kinda worried about being too far off with just black and white in a crowd with alot of other colors? ok? no?

Sounds fine, but you also need a suit coat for semi-formal.

I'd say no with the charcoal tie. Wear a tie that has some color, and throw on a blazer-- since it is semi-formal.
I don't know, I'm not good at fashion by any means, but I do know that much.
