Early MTV had, like, four videos...they showed them over and over again...two of the best were by a power pop band out of Chicago called The Shoes...the songs were "Too Late" and "Tomorrow Night."

In the 80's, "Take on me" by A-Ha was a pretty good music video.. It showed a lot of creativity. Also "Thriller" by Michael Jackson was a good video.
