Depends on whether you're using a revolver or an automatic pistol.
The odds go down rapidly with the auto.

If by "rounds" you mean bullets, then one will normally be all it takes, depending on your aim, and the caliber of the bullets... if you're an arthritic with nervous twitches, and you use a 22mil, then maybe a second would be worthwhile. IF you're playing to loose, just fill up all the chambers.
Generally, the rules call for only one bullet, and the number of rounds (as in turns) you're likely to get through depends mainly on the number of chambers in the gun. If you're playing with another person, who seems enthusiastic about the game, you should go first, as the chances of getting another turn go down with each try.
With a six shooter, the game is usually decided after three turns. With an eight shooter, it would be about four, and with a ten shooter, it would be about five.
Be sure to use a revolver, and not a magazine fed gun when playing russian roulette. With magazine fed guns, using one bullet, there's only a 50-50 chance, and it depends entirely on how the gun is loaded and/or ******.

First off, if you were really going to do it,you would have already done it, and not fooled with this question. Second, I recommend travelling to a county/state fair in your area. You'll find that there are some people present there that are much worse off than you. Very theraputic

It depends with what rules you play. Some exceptionally brilliant people (you might qualify), load all of the chambers with bullets. In that case, you will win the game in no time!

I think if you have a brain at all, you will forget the game and go to a shrink.
