I do think England is fixed against by FIFA to a degree. Its still up to the players to perform but go back to the 1994 qualifiers. Holland v England, Platt pulled over, a definate red card, a penalty.....we get a free kick and a yellow given out. Why? Because the US were worried about English hooligans and a memo was sent to FIFA and we were fixed against. A bit like Iraq who had some dodgey decissions against them in that same qualifying. For this tournament Figo should have been suspended for the England game - but wasnt as it was England. Rooney's sending off - a bit harsh I think, then 2 match ban for it, pathetic.

Irrespective of which team you were rooting for, I've never seen so much diving, awful refereeing and political maneuvering behind the scenes. I think the whole competition has been fixed from the start and I'll be glad when Top Gear returns to BBC now that this rubbish is off the air.
p.s. You look gorgeous! :-)

England should have been knockout because they are not up to world standard yet and with all the self glory seekers behaving like wimps, it would take a miracle for England to win again unless they cheat.

England never looked like they were ready. Beckham never looked match fit and every other team played better.
If there was a fix - sadlt it must have been to keep them in as long as they did!!!

O yea it was a fix alright. Especially that goalie deciding he wasnt ready after the penalty had been taken and the penalty being disallowed.
