I don't know haw to do a banner, but the HTML code for a link would be Link text In the first part of the code, the website address would look something like the address of the website in your address box on your browser. You would not use the parentheses in the first part of the code. I just put them there to show you that the "your site here" would not be a real website. The last part of the code tells that the like text has ended and it must be there if you want the link to go on forever. I hope this helps you.

I don't know what the code for a picture is, but to make a banner, you could use Microsoft Paint. To get to it on your PC go to Start, Programs, Accessories, Paint. Another program that works well for making banners and other pictures is Microsoft Picture It! This program does not come with your computer, but you can buy it at an office supply store like Office Max or Office Depot. Picture It! can also be used to edit the photos taken with a digital camera, that's it's mail purpose, actually. You can do more than just edit your picture, you can spiff then up with text and "stamps". I could tell you more, but it would have nothing to do with your question.
