The glow plug controller is broken

Bad idea.......you can't control those glow plugs better than the controller. Spend the money...replace the controller. Why would you want to gerry-rig it and possibly cause a fire??

I agree with answer #1 also if you hook them up to a push button switch , you or somebody will hold them on too long and burn them out, Glow plug average $20 a piece times 8 ,,, the controller is the cheapest and best way to go !!!!!!

Buy 12V glow plugs and hook the feed wire to a push button. Then you power them manually when cold starting for 30 seconds. Good luck.
