not me. charter 3 meg connection here. charter is also offering 5 meg and testing 10 meg in MO. I think within 5 years no one will dial up. I remember modems where you had to place the phones receiver on top off them and rates were in baud. the good old days.

I do. I have no problems with it. I have a fairly fast comp so dial up is no issiue for me. I would rather spend the money I would have used on dsl/cable on my bills or put into savings (which is more important than having fast internet conection when all you do is surf the web and check email)

there are some situations which require me using dialup. At times Im even have to resort to using an audio coupler to connect to an isp because of the of dataports. So yes I still have to use a modem no and then, but man thats one slow way of doing things. Id much rather use a ethernet connection, its fast and secure.(no radio waves broadcasting everything encryted or not)

With DSL you do not dial in.The connection is always made.I really think that that was the original intent behind the design of the phone card.

I am, it still works, although slow, but I don't need anything except to check mail...at work we have cable. Cable or DSL is still expensive for me...we are paying enough for phone services, internet should be free...that's what I think.

I'm not, but I know a few people in rural Georgia that still have to use dialup. They're in the minority now, but they still exist.

Yeah, I know some people. They don't even have two phone lines so you can't call them when they're online. Don't know how they do it. DSL has gotten so cheap, can't figure out why they don't upgrade.

I understand Broadband is VERY expensive in the UK, so most aren't using high-speed.
That's just what I've heard.
