I'd check with your local gov't officials and find out what the laws are in regards to holding a festival on private property. Some places will allow it....some won't so it's best to be safe than sorry.

It depends on where you live. I'm in Kalifornia so we need permits (at a fee) for pretty much everything. Hopefully you live in a free country

If you do, you shouldn't. If it's your land, just have your festival and don't tell a soul. If you plan to have a fire, you may want to notify the fire department.

Probably You have to check with your local city government to see if there are any ordinances against it. You must also notify your neighbors or the city will do it.
