Well the fact you have your own place should be very helpful to your independance I would have thought. But no you say you hang off your boyfriend and become a very clingy individual.

Regards maybe stop doing that lol. A good way would be to do an activity AWAY from him. I don't mean that in a bad way but if you spend a little time apart, maybe in some kinda of hobbie or activity, you would be less clingy.

And if that doesnt work, buy a months worth of food and lock yourself in the house with no human contact for a month. That will work lol.

#1 learn how to spell independent and you'll see progress.
#2 acknowledge that dependence is just a label that people put on you when they want to muffle your personal growth.
#3 being independent is being accountable, taking control of any given situation.

Honey!!!! if you've got your own place and your not relying on anyone to pay the bills.............your well into being independent!

Don't worry it'll work out fine.
you just keep doing your thing and handling your business.

firstly anyone can be independent including u,

second if u have r own place then r more independant than me :P

thirdly u dont need to be told r independent to be independent as long as r still alive u are independent :)

and finally.
knowledge is the key to independence by asking this question that alone shows r ambition to be independent and anyone who has ambition will achieve

get a job, a flat and pay for all your own stuff even if other people insist dont let them.

my mate lisa has the same problem shes is 26 2moro and her dad treats her like a 12 year old.

you sound pretty independant to me....you have your own flat and 2 jobs.....that doesnt sound like someone thats dependant.

give yourself a bit of time to get used to your independance,it will come.....and dont go changing too much...your b/f obviously likes you for the person you are or he wouldnt be your b/f....so stop putting yourself down and start to enjoy yourself and what you've got.

Next time you ask your BF a Q. that you are well capable of doing yourself... or you think you will need help in... get him to say "No... Do it yourself" or if you find yourself asking him if you should do somthing get him to say "I dont know... what do you think you should do?" or "i cant help you there, your going to have to help yourself"
that way, in the future...you will no longer realy on anyone, but yourself,.

work, or do work experience, have more friends which you go out with (not always a party lol), enjoy yourself, go alone to places rather than having someone wiht u, so u learn how to do this and that

When something needs done ask yourself how you can go about getting it done yourself. If you can't do it yourself, then ask for HELP. Don't ask some one to do it all for you.
