Keep your "clicking fingers" up off the mouse while you scroll to read the e-mail. When you see a link - DO NOT click on it, instead, type it in the address bar. See where you go.

If you find it offensive, do not delete it but get out of it until you find a site to report abuse. Then, reopen the offensive e-mail, select the whole thing to include all the sender's info including his URL, then "compose" an e-mail to report it, and "paste" all of the e-mail into the message section. This way they can close him down.

All emails from anyone you don't know are a farce. Go by that rule and you'll never eat a virus or send money to Nigeria.

If it is offering Lotto winnings that you have been selected for (yea, that could happen), funds from Nigeria (yea, that could happen), or anything else that sounds too good to be true, it is spam. NO one is giving anything away, but there are many trying to get all that you have. SPAM!
