Tell her that if he truly loved her he would not hurt her, love is not supposed to hurt. I hope you can help your freind, I lost some of my teeth due to an abusive relationship I was in for 7 years. He was a meth addict and the abuse was horrific.

I hope your freind gets out of the relationship and you are very nice to want to help.

The best thing you can do is just be there when she needs help. You can’t really do anything other then talking to her. She has to want to get out of the relationship herself. There are actually some people who like the abuse. I’m not saying that your friend does. If there are children being abused then it should be reported immediately.

Tell her family. If they dont care, maybe yours can help. Although no body should let anyone hit on them, some girls in abusive realtionships are blind to the fact that they are being treated badly. Or some just dont care because they dont care about themselves (the guy takes away all existing self esteem in abusive relationships if it isnt already gone) so you just need to continue to support her but dont expect her to jus get up and leave him. When I said get the familys involved, I meant have them find help, for him and her....get the police involved, the whole nine.

I was in an abusive marriage and got divoriced six years ago. i was with him for about 10 years on and off. batterers will say anything to get what they want and get the woman back i know i have been there . i had a friend that litterally dragged me to a domestic violence support group and it was hard to go but once i was there i learned that i wasnt alone and it helped. but i didnt get away for awhile after that. dont give up on her because its really hard to get away from the relationship when you dont think you have any friends or family. be there for her , listen to her, she'll realize it . but get her to get out before its to late , maybe a shelter if ones around.

Tell her to get out while she can, it is never worth it for someone to stay in an abusive relationship.

Unfortunately, there is not much you can do. She knows she is in an abusive relationship so she don't need reminded. she will wise up some day and get out.

Tell it to her like it is. Also tell her that she already knows what you are telling her is true and that she has a choice in this matter. Sadly, many women in her situation never do leave. I'm so mad at a friend of mine who has gone back to her abuse probably a dozen times now. She never listens to me. I don't mean to discourage you. Talk to her and tell her how you feel but don't expect her to leave him. If she asks for your help be there for her!

Make her understand that if she is being beat it is not a relationship and she needs to get out. If she gets bruises and cut from this person take pictures..... She probably wont want to leave b/c most women dont realize that how this person is treating them isn't okay .....

You can gently try to convince her to seek professional help, which is what she needs. And you need to be there for her no matter what. Hopefully she will eventually have the courage to leave the relationship, and she will thank you for your support.

If it gets real bad, you might need to call the police.

Can't help somebody that won't help them self. Sorry but true. What's the other one, You can lead a horse to water but can't make it drink. Best you can do is be there for her when she needs you and hope she comes to her senses before its too late.
