I am not Portuguese but I have been an admirer of Portuguese football throughout this WC tournament and so for all those who accused Portugal of being cheats, and the GREAT Figo for being a cheat too, well, there it is, Z.Zidane, who headbutts that italian with all the force he could throw.--Not a nudge like Figo's but a hell of a headbutt. It seem to me that there was some hysteria about Figo... they all do that sort of thing, don't they ? Figo must be chuckling right now !! And may I say what a boring final it was. Two second rate teams. And France needing a penalty from the referee. The whooe British TV media say "no, it was not a penalty !" -- Views ?

"Ximena D" -- I am not Portuguese so I can claim to be UNbiased in all this, but I like football to be FAIR. I have seen countries like pPortugal being cheated through penalties given to France throughout the years.

FORCA PORTUGAL- I say sour grapes to all of them, Figo is great , never a penalty that France was given against Portugal, Henry dived.

Zidane's headbutt was blatant. The diving from all teams during this tournament has been disgraceful. Portugal, in my opinion, has been one of the worst offenders, especially Ronaldo. Check this link:

Don't know which British media channel you were watching/listening to the game on but on BBC 1 Motson and Lawrensen said it was a penalty as Materazzi had clipped Malouda.
*Read my answer before commenting on it. Seems like you are spoiling for a fight tonight judging by the amount of people you are arguing with. Can you not accept another persons views?*

I saw the match tonight.IT WAS A PENALTY!!
And yes it WAS a deliberate act when he headbutted the other chap, and he did deserve to be sent off, because it was out and out deliberate and he didn't care who saw it!!
As for Portugal, I have to disagree, they DO cheat,as do other teams, but Portugal do seem to be the worst of them all. Quite honestly I think they should be banned from playing in the next world cup!

The mexican media says the same thing... it wasnt a penalty.
And i really hate how that happened.. coz i would rather see a good play than a penalty.
And I was happy when Zidane left that way hehe he became big headed with his retirement and playing in the final...
