When you hear him being interviewed he has a Scottish accent.

His Dr Who accent is very different and does sound English as befits an intergalactic space/time traveller!

I wonder why the producers didn't let him keep his Scottish accent - the previous Doctor had a Manchester accent.

He doesn't have an English accent, he's scottish, but he is extremely good at putting on the accent for Doctor Who. David's accent can be found on google if you type in 'David tennant voice clip.'.

No he has an extreamly SEXY scottish accent. Every time I see him on T.V (except for on Dr. Who) I just wanna **** him right where hes standing. God scottish men are so sexy! That goes for Welsh and Irish too.
