You'd think in a 2+ hour movie they'd accomplish SOMETHING. They didn't accomplish ANYTHING in the whole movie. They basically set it up for the third movie. And Johnny Depp wasn't even as funny in this one.

I didn't hate it, but I thought it was short on storyline and long on special effects. The whole thing was rather confusing. I was dazzled by the images on the screen, and Johnny Depp was amusing, but in the end, I thought it was a lot about nothing. It was like one of those 1930's cliff hangers where you had to come back next week to see if the hero lived. It set a record though for an opening day(55 million plus). My kids liked it. There was enough action in it for three movies. I just like a little more substance. Special effects only go so far. I did have a craving for seafood though, after the movie ended.

You know what I "don't like"? People posting their questions in the wrong category!
And I didn't see any movie called "Pirates OR the Carribean"

I thought it was ok. I think some of the reasons I didn't love it were: it was too long, too many subplots, it was mostly set up for the 3rd movie and the sexual tension between Elizabeth and Jack.

There were a lot of sub-plots of the movie, but I didn't have trouble following it. I enjoyed it. It was a lot funnier than the first one but it was also a lot more far-fetched. But overall, it was good entertainment.

I think it sucks. Keira Knightley's mad jaw needs a good smack. It drives me mental!
