You pose an interesting question and I think it depends on your preferences. Do you like warm weather or cold weather? Do you like big cities or small towns? However, I will give you my opinion. I think San Diego and Denver are the most ideal locations in the U.S. and Barcelona and Sydney are the most ideal locations outside of the U.S. San Diego is amazingly gorgeous, perfect weather, sandy beaches, beautiful people and great fast food Mexican food is everywhere! Denver is also a beautiful city, but much cleaner and the Rocky Mountains are always ready for whatever kind of adventure you enjoy. Barcelona is my favorite city in the world. I love the Catalonia history and culture as well as the amazing night life, seafood and women, ha ha. As far as Sydney goes, I love the laid back attitude, the accent, perfect weather and natural beauty of the beaches and the beauty of downtown Sydney. Of course, I'm only 26 and my passion is traveling the world. No need to settle in one place any time soon.

New York City, because Central Park in the morning is Paradise. Plus there's an endless bazaar of desires from all parts of the world like Ray's Pizza, Korean BBQ, Portuguese cuisine, the best gyros ever, dim-sum/seafood pan fried noodles from Chinatown, awesome veal parm from Little Italy, Soho fashion stores, sci-fi/comics/manga shops, Borders, Barnes N' Noble, Broadway theatres, Imax, night clubs n' outdoor restaurants and.. anything else you can think of.

I think that the best place to live is in Door County, Wisconsin. The temperatures are just right year round (hot in the summer, cold in the winter). We hardly have any severe weather, and there is hardly ANY crime. Plus, we're not too far away from great shopping cities if you need to do some really great shopping! What more could you ask for?

I think the ideal place is probably in Pennsylvania or somewhere in the Northeast. I think this because it has temperate climate, nice land, ther are cities and farms, you also dont have to drive that long to get to beach.

Miami Beach.
There's beautiful modern tall buildings, and marvelous spacious houses and mansions.
It's near the Beach, wait it is the BEACH !
It's tropical, and there's lots of malls and plazas in this safe city.
You can breath air, there's no pollution thank God.
Miami Beach is just so GREAT !!

Anywhere but here? I think someplace near the ocean would be my fave place. Somewhere private and beautiful. Cool nights and warm days.

I would say Minneapolis. There are forests and beaches all around, and the tax is much lower. It's also a very clean and livable city.
