Manent is the name of a defunct French optics company that made telescopes and clock (tracking) mounts. A "Manent" telescope is no doubt any telescope made by this company, just like an "Alvin Clark" refractor is a telescope made by his outfit or a Meade is made by Meade.

The company was active in the early 20th century, but I have trouble finding much information on it so it must not have lasted long. I do not believe it refers to any particular optical design.
