He should get a contract extension or a new contract with the Ravens by the end of the season, since he has shown that the offense runs better with him there. By adding McNair (who will connect again with Derrick Mason and loves to toss the pigskin to TEs), Heap's stock should jump dramatically, making him a highly-valued commodity. If there is no work done for his time in Baltimore, he should be finished by the end of next season.

As long as they pay him among the top 3 tight ends in the league. When the money's better elsewhere, he moves on.

I imagine they'll lock him up sometime this winter, unless he gets hurt again.
