There's about a million MALE obgyn's.
It depends on the basis of your friend wanting to become one. Is it because he wants to check out vagina's all day? Because if so, more than likely 1 woman or so will end up figuring that out and suing the hell out of him, then he'll be termed a pervert gyno. So.. depends on his reasons for becoming one.

well,i hope to be a ob/gyn, but, I have already made up my mind that I was having a female. i know that there are tons of male ob , and i don't know that i would feel comfortable. really male or female, looking at me. well, i hope that if that is what he wants to be, then he becomes that. You should always follow your dreams. take care.

I've never had a male gyn be inappropriate. I've never had any type of male doctor be sexually inappropriate. Women go to male gyns all the time with no problems. Don't discourage him if that's what he wants to be.
By the way. I've heard people say woman gyn's must be lesbians to want to specialize in this field. You just can't win if you want to go into this field.lol

I've been to the same OB/GYN since I was 13 and he's a guy and I've never gotten the feeling that he's a perv. I, personally, wouldn't feel comfortable with a woman OB/GYN.

Yes but not if your friend is only doing it to look at vaginas all day.... I have been pregnant 3 times and all my ob/gyns were male.

I would feel umconfortable having a male OB/GYN, I'm straight, but a male down there . . . .. nah . . . . I would look around for a female before I went to a male

I usually only get male OB/GYN's ... see I get freaked out that a woman is a lesbian and if someone is going to check me out it better be a man!!! Ususally, the OB/GYN is geriatric, and he's too old to really care.

I only go to male OB/GYN's. All the female one's that I have had I have hated.

Not true at all. Most ob doctors are male. I am bummed because mine, who is male, retired now I have to find a new one. I trusted him and he helped me a lot.

Some woman do trust a male OB.GYN cause they are males and give better decisions (I don't think so)
For me I would not like to show my body and genitals to a male OB.GYN. So it has to be a woman.
