i loved the first one.
rate pirates 2-- 1 being horrible, 10 being awesome

It's about a 7, it's OK, Johnny Depp is great (as always), Orlando Bloom and Kiera Knightly are better than in the last one, which isn't saying much but at least they weren't liabilities this time. The plot was not great, but there were funny moments. There were some draaaaaaawn ouuuuuuuut action scenes, but they ended eventually. Like the last one, it would have been pretty horrible without Johnny Depp.
I can't believe someone above gave away the ending, what a dick. There's still hope, though, I'll just say the ending makes you really want to see Pirates 3!

about a 9. Don't get me wrong, Pirates 2 is awesome, but it doesn't hold a candle to the first one. It is much darker and more complex (which can be good) than the light-hearted fun of the first one. It still has the same great characters, and those awesome funny moments but it had a very serious overtone. And the ending felt like they just ended the movie because it was so long and Pirates 3 will just be the second half of Pirates 2.

Pirates 2 is 10 times better than pirates 1. It's halarious and Jack Sparrow really makes this movie good. He is so funny and it's such a contrast to the other movie it makes it reallly good. Pirates two is defenately an 11 in my book and I cant wait for "World's End" on May 27 2007!

I t waz awsome! Poor Jack dies! But they are going to look for something to bring him back in the next movie Pirates 3! I'd rate it 10!

I haven't seen it yet, but it is getting horrible reviews. That doesn't necessarily mean anything, because a lot of the movies the critics rave about end up being snoozefests. I still want to see it and think it'll probably be a fun little movie, but won't win any awards or anything.

except we don't actually see Captain Jack Sparrow dying. ignore the putz who tried to ruin it for you.
I loved the creativity.. a sword fight is a sword fight, and so overdone in hollywood, that the big one in Dead Man's Chest is very memorable and imaginative. nothing like adding Depp as a drunk pirate.
oh, and don't sit too close to the screen.. some of those graphics need to be viewed from a safe, non- dizzying distance.
I loved it. going again soon. 10 for creativity and acting.. 9 overall score

9, it's not as good as pirates 1, but it's pretty awesome, and for the idiot that said johnny dies, guess wat! he doesn't. there are pictures of him from the 3rd movie online, and the 3rd movie comes out May 28. it's gonna be called Pirates of the Carribean: At Worlds End

8. It's not perfect, it's not horrible. The special effects will blow your mind, the plotline is very long but very good, and the love situation gets complicated in a very good, but confusing way. Overall, good movie, had its bad points, which is why it's not a 10.

I would give it a 7, because the ending really sucked and johnny Depp died. And i didnt really think, "wow, this was the best movie ever" but it was pretty good. Except for the ending.
