Like, I think that nowadays everybody's judging people by their races or beliefs. Who agrees?

Interesting article:

I think there will always be discrimination and I do think it's extremely unfair. There's discrimination against what you wear, what race you are, how you do your hair, w/e... I can't stand it. I wish those people would stop judging people and fall off the face of the earth - not literally, but that's how I feel about them. -- or they could actually get to know the person.

I believe determining who should get a job should be a belief in the canadate with the best job fit. I have interviewed and made hiring decisions for several dozen people in technical support. I can tell you that I don't even look at gender or race - I look at technical knowledge, confidence in presenting one's knowledge, and the ability to show logic and problem-solving in the interview. I also look at their ability to handle the stumpers I throw their way...more of an attitude gauge at that point.

It is going to be with us in one way or the other. No, it is not fair but then again, do you think life is fair? Discrimination exists in every aspect of life.

no, it isn't fair. affirmative action is trying to help correct that. the problem is people think the job automatically goes to the minority...that is NOT true! the job only goes to the minority IF the two people wanting the job are equally qualified and some kind of tie breaker.

It's not fair, but it's everywhere. As a white male, I can tell you we now have the hardest time getting good jobs. The government says you have to hire women and minorities, but no one has to hire white males. It has become reverse descrimination.
