When I was pregnant, it felt like a bubble of water in between my legs. No it didn't hurt. The labor is what hurt.
I was in back labor for 7 hrs before they REALIZED my daughter was coming butt first! Then I had to have an emergency C-Section. When they started to take the gurney away with the catheter still in place - that hurt!
After the surgery I was hurting for a week.
But my water breaking didn't hurt a bit.

It doesn't hurt at all...you just feel as though you've peed yourself! The water can come as a trickle or a gush. The most annoying is when it trickles, 'cos then everytime you move some more comes out!!! Make sure you have plenty of maternity pads and spare underwear to hand. Good luck!

It doesn't hurt at all. You just feel a gush of warm fluid flow out of you. You won't have any warning that its about to happen, it just happens. If it doesn't happen naturally, the doctor will use a long thin instrument with a small hook on it to break the water. I've experienced both the natural and the hook. Neither one hurt.

There is absolutely no warning sign just before your water breaks ! There is no pain ! You just, suddenly, will have water running out of your vagina. It is eminent that you get to the hospital when your water breaks. Have a Happy Birth !

It doesnt hurt. Since, my water didnt break on its own, it was done by the doctor, i cant say if you feel it coming. You just feel wetness everywhere.

When my water broke, I felt like a "pop" kind of feeling, but it didn't hurt. After that it was like I was peeing my pants. It's pretty likely that you'll know when your water has broken.

No it doesn't hurt. It's more like you just sprung a leak and you will probably get no warning.
