Yes, they can. They will always have attributes of their old self, and the temptations can be just as strong. But there is a power greater than ourselves that we can use to change how we think and how we act and through those choices we can fundamentally change ourselves. However, it takes a tremendous amount of effort and practice and time. Of those three things, the only thing an outsider can see and judge is time. So if it is you, just make the changes and let the rest work itself out in time. If it is someone else, wait until you have seen a year or two of living the change every day before you begin to think the change will last.

Millions have , but only they can do it when they want to . alot of people try and don't have success, but deep inside they really didn't want to as bad as they thought.when you put your mind to it and don't let anyone stand in your way, having at least one support person that will back you up and keep you encouraged when the going gets tuff really helps ... i know because I'm living proof and i had one friend that helped me get threw it but i was determined. I'm no longer weak and will never go back i have no desire too .
, if your trying to change. if you need someone to talk I'm no pro but i have ears and good luck , or if you know someone ,just be there for them and dont let them drag you. you can do it!

I don't think they can change who they are, but I do think they can change their ways (quit murdering, stealing, etc.) That is the same way with smoking and drinking. They can't change who they are, but they can quit what they're doing and become a good person. I guess that makes sense.

Yes. But I don't believe we can wake one morning and decide to change without going through some failures. Real change does not happen overnight, and often requires a network of support.

Yes, but it can only be done by that person. And the only person who will know that they truly have changed is themself (and God).
