See, I've got the girl I love, and I mean to marry her someday (right now both of us aren't old enough- ugh! hate being 17! lol) and I want to give her this promise ring. Thing is I haven't a clue how I'm supposed to give it! lol, any help here would be appreciated!

My husband and I met when we were your age. He gave me a promise ring and said I promise to you my love and devotion and my heart. If you truly feel in your heart this is what you both want, then I say go for it. It's not an engagement ring, but it's a promise from you to her. It's special in so many ways. I hope to pass my promis ring down to our daughter one day. Without his promise, she wouldn't be here. By the way, we've been together 10 years. When it's right, you'll know it.

just do it like you would marriage. Ask her if she will accept this promise ring. my husband did and we have been married 5 years. Just tell her you love her and that you promise to remain true to her. my husband got down on one knee(we were only together 1 month) I accepted the ring because I felt it was right. For a year and a half we stayed together and then he proposed marriage. Romantically he did it the same way he did when he gave me my promise ring.

Promise ring? It is obvious that you are young and in love. You don't need to give anything. Just tell her how you feel. Good boyfriends give flowers and notes and take their girl out. A promise ring could freak her out or even her parents. Besides, promise rings or preengagement rings never last. Don't jinx yourselves. Enjoy it.
