I know that fight fire with fire is one of the more difficult. You may want to start off with a song like one. It is a slower song, and will allow you to learn the tempo of their music a little easier. It would help to if you play by ear. I have a friend that can listen to a song a few times, and then play it.

Jump in the fire
Seek n Destroy
Master of Puppets
Sanitarium
Fade to Black
Hero of the Day
Wherever I may roam
Nothing else matters
For whom the bell tolls
Don't tread on me
Unforgiven

These are just a few that I could think of that should be easy. That would also depend on your level of playing. Metal tends to require alot of practice so don't be disappointed if you don't get it right away. If you will notice, alot of their songs have the same tempo or one that is similiar. So, with that in mind, once you master one, you should be the MASTER OF PUPPETS.

ROCK ON DUDE!!

I've learned to play Fade to Black completly with my keyboard & it's quite easy!
I can play guitar like an amateur but here are some easy riff songs:
Fade to black
Am i Evil
Seek & Destroy
Sad But True
Motorbreath
Master of puppets
some kinda monster
And justice for all
until it sleeps
